BBEx: The future of BBEx was decided at a meeting at Mercator Media last Friday 20 June. BBEx is going to adapt to move with the times and match the current market conditions.
'From the various discussions we've had with the industry and with the target audience, it became obvious the manufacturers and importers wanted us to keep BBEx,' said Mercator Media managing director Andrew Webster. 'But the target audience is no longer interested in attending BBEx.' -
BBEx meeting set for April 4

The promised meeting for everyone concerned with the Boating Business Exhibition (BBEx) is set for Friday April 4. This is a meeting for exhibitors and visitors alike - and anyone with an opinion on the future of the show.

This year’s BBEx Innovations Showcase superbly displays more than 50 excellent products – including the Waterbuoy, which featured heavily in the Dragons' Den television programme. Inventor/developer James Halliburton is due to also be at the show.

BBEx 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year, Neil Chapman, reports that his high-flying boatshed.com enterprise now has a franchise in Cowes, Isle of Wight. The company now boasts over 44 franchises in the UK and internationally. This follows another successful opening in the US which almost doubles the size of the network in one year.
