The new Barton DO 550 clutch

Ease of Maintenance
The clutch’s design and bolt-together construction enables maintenance to be completed quickly and the mechanism can be flushed without dismantling. The stainless steel entry and exit bulls-eyes ensure the line is kept in the correct position and help to prevent excess wear to the lines and the clutch itself. Identification Barton has made it easier and quicker for inexperienced crew to identify the function of the clutch on board. A removable insert panel at the top of the clutch’s handle allows coloured, printed inserts to be added and replaced. Inserts include a range of functions such as ‘Genoa’, ‘Main’, and ‘Spinnaker Halyard’, which are available as an optional extra in either cruising or racing specific packs.

Price
The DO 550 Clutch is £38.00 excluding VAT (RRP).

As with all its products, Barton uses modern, high performance materials to produce its DO 550 clutch. High grade fibre glass reinforced plastic components coupled with ’Spectro’ anodised aluminium cams and bases, provide a lightweight yet strong clutch that endures heavy usage within the harsh marine environment.
