The Webasto Airtop diesel/petrol range offers heating for a wide range of craft, are suitable for all sorts of vessels from 20ft to 50ft, including narrowboats, broads cruisers and yachts.

They boast low power consumption, low running and ownership costs with high standards of reliability. Webasto Thermo systems also benefit from the features of the Airtop range, with the advantage of creating a fully controllable heating system including domestic hot water.

And you can put a Thermo heater together with a Blue Cool air conditioner to provide a coordinated climate control system.

JPC, however, can save money on the installation of these products, because they offer a bespoke service. 'While the basic mechanics are the same, we can customise kits for installation depending on what the requirements are - it keeps costs down because you aren't left with bits you don't want', says Mr Gardiner.

He adds, 'We are here to help customers, no obligation. What we don't do is land you with a box you have no idea what to do with - or kit that isn't what you need. We want people to come and talk things through.'
